SM, she was the first one to not believe it. But seriously, I had none at that time… then BOOM! came in the first invite. CL told me about a gift exchange and Christmas celebration with her gang and asked if I would like to join. Bought the gift in a haste, but not going in the end.  I did have the present sent though via CL since we did meet before the event… I was sure they were having a blast there via the call she made yesterday night ^^

Shortly before Christmas, I messaged YC and in came the second invite. We met in Queensbay for lunch in dragon-i… it sure brought memories from Uppekha. Reason? We stayed there for a straight four hours! ROFL… And oh my, lots of souvenirs and presents for me! The funniest moment of that is definitely when she told me her fiancée seems (to me) a bit jealous with my goodie bag. Haha ^O^ Maybe we did get glances all throughout the period… LOL… it was like in the dramas where every table near the main characters always change with high speed but not us. LOL

Next, is my dear old friend whom I don’t know… last met 6 months or so? We met in 1st Avenue, YM and I… this time it was in Sakae Sushi. Again, it took us around 4 hours too… if this time, i received the murderous glance, i will surrender since we both are occupying a table for four… Not to say shocked, but she nagged on my well, eating habits. “Can you finish them all?!”, “Finish these first before ordering others” and keep repeating “you are getting bigger already” but it was still fun hanging around, sharing future plans and all… ^^

After the lunch, I met CL for movie: Sherlock Holmes. It was a good show no doubt, but i think I dozed off a few moments… Reason? I have no idea, but this was my second time doing so… first was with Arthur Christmas… then we went shopping and then pursued dinner at Old Town Coffee. No photos were taken though…. Oh, what would she think?

1 more surprising and heart-warming event: I received an unexpected call, from LB… called to ask if we could meet. As the time and place is inconvenient, Alas! we did not meet… but the mere thought itself is what counts the most… ^^

B: Hi. Are you Ms Su?

G: Yes, I am. Are you Mr Du?

B: I am. Nice to meet you. Let’s go there and have a chat.

G: Wait a minute. Before we begin to chat, I think there are a few doubts we need to clarify.  Do you want to talk here or at another place?

B: I like your frankness. Since Miss Su has something to talk about, let us talk here then!

G: Do you have any property and vehicle? If you don’t, I’m afraid we cannot continue our conversation anymore.

B: I have them; however, Miss Su, are you a virgin? If I don’t have any properties now, I might have them a few years later; however, if Miss Su, you are not a virgin, after a few years will you still retain your honour?

G: In the past, I was.

B: Then what if I tell you, I once had a property and vehicle; but, I lost them all in a business venture. I don’t have anything now. Would you still be with me, striving together for a better life (getting a house and car)?

G: Since you don’t have any house or car now, only a fool is willing to marry you.

B: That’s right. Whether you were a virgin before, it doesn’t concern me.

G: If you love me, you will love me for who I am and not that barrier.

B: If you love me, you should also love me for who I am and not my property or car.

G: Are you a virgin?

B: I am not.

G: Then why do you insist on me being a virgin?

B: Do you have any property or vehicle?

G: No, I don’t.

B: Then why do you insist on me having property and vehicle?

G: That’s because you are a man. Man and woman are different. You are a man; hence, you ought to have property and vehicle.

B: Man and woman are different, huh? That is to say that even though I’m not a virgin, you ought to be, correct?

Harsh reality, no doubt… Although it looks like the girl deserves it; but, somehow, it still triggers the idea of men always getting most of the advantages. Or is it really the girl’s fault for making the first pitch? A thought to note…

1st time i bought the purse, I chose a cloth type (they claimed it is the same water proof cloth as the one that people make umbrella out of) which has some cute pictures on it. It has two zippers, which is ideal as I want it to be as flat as possible as it would not attract much attention; however, soon, it became dirty. That was when I figure out that umbrella cloth does not quite suit my needs.

2nd time, I thought of getting one that would not become dirty so easily. I managed to buy the one I want, but there was another flaw. It has only one zipper which separates itself into three within. Yes, it could not be dirty so easily, but it looks very bulky…

3rd time (currently), I bought the third one. It is not really the cloth type and it has two zippers. Should be fine. Only when I returned home, I found out the rope is too small to have my hand in…

So, thus far, I learnt that:

1. Two zipper purse makes it flatter looking

2. Buy purse with the suitable cloth

3. Test the rope before purchasing

If I bought the perfect one right from the start, most probably I would not figure all those three out; hence, imperfection still rocks!! Oh yeah!!!! (~^O^~)

At times, we might think she was a difficult person to live with… Perhaps the most mind-boggling person in the world. There were times that we would eat-out and she would not go out. That is fine. We asked her whether she wants anything and she said no; however, when coming back, she would complained that we bought nothing for her. And when we do, she said “why did you buy for me?” Yes, she was that kind of person.

Living with her is like heaven and hell combined together. If you learn of the right ways, you will survive. I am the fortunate one. Anyhow, I am still grateful that she left us with memories to remember her. It should sustain us for several years…

Problem with using pesticide is that it is chemical. Long term usage might not only be hazardous to your own self, but towards the environment as well. Using cockroach is better, I guess… but to imagine hearing hundreds or thousands of cockroaches sticking in one house, whereby perhaps the scurrying feet could be heard just give me goosebumps. Newspaper is okay; however,  squashing them to pulps seems to be the worst thing that could happened.

So if you enjoy hunting them down without putting their slimy liquid on your hands, just take a well covered shoe box cover, track them down and close the lid on them. Then, drag the box carefully to the edge and get them out of the house… ^^ An accidental found usage for it. Try if you want ^O^

And what more important, it is the person you went out with that make all the matter better or worse. If you are going for a movie with a soft guy (not from my mouth, mind you), it is actually okay and be taken consideration as platonic friends hanging out and have fun; however, if you went out with a guy with a romantic relationship, most people might scrutinize your reason being with him… Ironic, is it not?

My point of view is that we can do whatever we want when we do not care about all the thoughts swimming around in other people’s mind… with that, whatever position you are in, you are carefree and just enjoy yourself to the maximum… Nothing is wrong unless proven with concrete evidence…

放在那儿已有一段时间了。。。终于今天可以抽空看了一部， 《百变狸猫》。。。看了有点无奈耶。。。无论是团结或分离，那些可怜的狸猫还是无法捍卫自个儿的家园，只能眼睁睁的看着它被人类所摧毁。。。 那束手无策的心情，铁定不好受哪~~~

挣扎了好久，结果依然一样，就会感到无奈。。。绿油油的景色不再有，取而代之的是黯然的建筑物，根本没设么生气。。。

人生应该也如此吧？如果不够满足的话，多数都会觉得无奈吧？做什么人家可以如此如此，我就不能呢？但。。。假如不把这思绪摆平的话，可能会被那不平衡感慢慢的侵蚀噢！还是满足于现有的一切，高高兴兴的活下去吧！也许只是个人意见而已，不必太介怀。。。

Yesterday, in “Tuesday with Morrie”, Morrie was asked about how would he spend his perfect day if he could have 24 hours of great health. His reply is just to undergo an ordinary life as he always did.

Calvin asks Hobbes: if you have a wish, what would you ask for? – A big sunny field, in which Calvin shouted with disapproval, “A big sunny field?! That’s it? You should ask for something like fame or riches” but seeing Hobbes lying on the field, purring with contentment, he just could not argue with that…

Perhaps I am not as ambitious as you; perhaps I’m not as tough as you; perhaps I’m not as rich as you… but I am contented living my life as it is now – without too much worry

GATHERINGS (Not by orders):

1. Bowling session with Su Ming, Lilian and Yee Fong

The day after Valentines, bored at the residence in Krystal Point, so asked them out for bowling. For a first-timers, Su Ming and Lilian did fine… My first time getting a 3-digits figure in bowling (Penang). Cool~~~ Also bought all necessary and two not-really-necessary stuff, but was satisfied of not getting bored to crazy… ^O^

2. CNY meeting with Yen Cheng, BK and Xin Yee

Still a regret not asking prior taking decision. Always had my schedule slot set out straight and nicely; but, this time round, I might had been a bit side-tracked. Never thought it would be this way. Alas! I was unable to meet up with Yee Min… Miss her lots~~~ but then again, I have to still say grace to meet up with him again after a year plus plus…

3. Karaoke session with Chee Leng, Yee Fong, kim Keok, Grace and Ken Nee

That was my first time having karaoke session with them. Usually, it is only Yen Cheng and I. The result was a bit out… perhaps with them (those that I hardly met), it is better to have the gathering in a restaurant. Reason? Well… most of the time we would then be singing, no? Yeah… that was what I thought…

MOVIES:

1. I LOVE HK

Initially I actually wanted to see another movie, but as reviewer, Yen Cheng, said that I LOVE HK is much more hilarious, I went for it… alone… haha… No problem with that…

Hmmm… it shows the reality of Hong Kongnese, trying to survive and how closely knit is a community, especially in those new villagers (direct translation)… how a misunderstanding turns two friends into enemies (actually only one felt so, not knowing the other did so for his friend)… anyhow, it was a happy ending for all, as a CNY movie should be… it sure has its realistic moments combined with lots of laughter. Like it~~~

2. Burlesque

My my my~~~~ Love this a lot… the best cabaret movie so far seen… plot is simple: a country girl who seeks fame for herself, landing herself in a club called Burlesque, sang her way to stardom, was in a complicated relationship which turns good in the end and save Burlesque from bankruptcy… Simple, yet the cabaret performance was splendidly drew all over the scene.

Song piece that I love, especially the lyrics is none other than “Haven’t seen the last of me” sang by Cher. She sang beautifully, with emotions pouring out of her. You felt the vibe, the energy and the inspiring moment… all when you heard her sing. You could say that this song was made for her exclusively. I bet nobody could sing like her, such a nightingale. As the only movie clip that has the full song is quite dark, I will just show you the one with the lyrics…

You know that Malaysia’s movies that contains sexual indications will be taken out, right? What I love about this song is it is playful yet still could go through all the process without being censored. Love the pearly dress-up as well…

Gave Chee Leng a treat for her help getting my new job. We had a Friday’s Three for all, Sizzling Chicken & Shrimp and Candied-Orange margarita.

For Daddy’s birthday (well, one day after), we went for Agua @ Straits Quay. Had a savoury feast that filled our tummy to the max.

For starters, we had SPICY SWEET PEPPER AND TOMATO SOUP WITH CROUTONS, ALBONDIGAS, BABA GANOUSH and MIXED MUSHROOMS PAPRIKA, TARRAGON AND CREAM SERVED ON TOAST.
